• Description : A fine White or Nearly White powder, Slightly Hygroscopic free from grittiness odorless, tasteless powder
• Solubility : Practically insoluble in water and in ethanol. Is readily decomposed by mineral acids.

• Alkalinity: Maximum. 1 ml. of 0.1M HCl required to change color
• Arsenic : Maximum 4 ppm
• Heavy Metals : Maximum 40 ppm
• Chloride : Maximum 500 ppm
• Sulphate : Maximum 0.5%
• Water soluble salts: Maximum 30mg / 1.5%
• Free Alkali : Maximum 1 ml. of 0.10N HCl
• Acid Absorption: Minimum 100ml of 0.1M HCL per gm
• Acid Consuming Capacity as per USP: Between 140ml to 160ml of 0.1N HCl
